Our Preloved Program

Welcome to our Preloved Program, where you can purchase used items at a discounted price and return your garments when your child has outgrown them. This program is core to who we are as a business, whereby we maintain responsibility for what we sold even beyond its first use, helping extend the life of each garment, make sustainable fashion more accessible, and reinforce our overall environmental approach to retail. 

For clothes that you’ve sent back to us, if they are in resellable condition, you will receive a Bigelow Lane gift card valued at 30% of the price of the item (new). For items that are not resellable, we will still take them back, and are currently in the process of seeking out a recycling solution that will maximize the remaining value of the clothes and make good use of the wonderful material properties of the wool.   

Here's how it works:

  • Valid only for brands we sell on Bigelow Lane (see our brands page for a full list). Note that we do accept Siskin pieces in styles we sell, as they are primarily "white labeled" garments by Engel/Disana in different colors. Email us if you’re unsure if your item qualifies.
  • We will send you a prepaid shipping label.
  • Please make sure to clean your items before sending.
  • Once we've received the items and inspected them, we will send you a Bigelow Lane gift card worth 30% of the cost of the item (sold new), for use on your next order. It's like getting a 30% discount on your original purchase!

BUYING PRELOVED CLOTHES

Buying gently loved or factory seconds from Bigelow Lane extends the life of clothes, helps avoid unnecessary textile waste, and offers a more affordable entry point to sustainable clothes!

All Preloved garments sold from Bigelow Lane have been washed and inspected, and the condition of the clothes are transparently described for each item. 

We offer the same return policy as for new items: we accept returns or exchanges within 30 days of receiving your order. All items must be in the same condition as it was when you purchased them. We will refund returns minus an $8 return shipping fee. Email us at hello@bigelowlane.com or initiate a self-service return in your customer portal.
