SENDING BACK ITEMS
We make it easy, fast and fair to get store credit for your old items — helping to extend the life of your clothes, avoid unnecessary textile waste, and make space in your kiddo’s closet at the same time.
We accept clothes in any condition, from “like-new” to in tatters! But we will only give you store credit if the item is deemed resellable.
Generally, we cannot resell an item if it has a lot of stains or requires significant mending. We will make the assessment once we receive the item. If you’d like to know sooner, you can always email us with a photo of the item(s).
We’re still figuring that out! Depending on the quality of the clothes we get back, we might donate them or work with a textile recycler. We’ll keep you posted as we evolve the program! We promise that we will never send your old clothes to be landfilled or incinerated.
We will give you a Bigelow Lane gift card for 30% of the value of the item sold new (based on our current pricing on our website). We recognize that you may have purchased the item for a different price at another retailer, but we will only recognize the price we sell it at (since this is the price that will determine the resale value). If we do not sell the particular style on Bigelow Lane, we will determine the price from other websites.
Once we have received your shipment, please allow up to 2 weeks for us to inspect the items and email you your gift card.
Your gift card will expire after 5 years.
BUYING PRELOVED CLOTHES
Buying gently loved or factory seconds from Bigelow Lane extends the life of clothes, helps avoid unnecessary textile waste, and offers a more affordable entry point to sustainable clothes!
All Preloved garments sold from Bigelow Lane have been washed and inspected, and the condition of the clothes are transparently described for each item.
We offer the same return policy as for new items: we accept returns or exchanges within 30 days of receiving your order. All items must be in the same condition as it was when you purchased them. We will refund returns minus an $8 return shipping fee. Email us at hello@bigelowlane.com or initiate a self-service return in your customer portal.
