Hocosa

Founded in 1886, in Winterthur, Switzerland, Hocosa is one of the country’s finest textile producers, with a specific focus on high quality base layers.  Currently manufactured in Bedano, Switzerland, about 50 miles north of Milan, Hocosa has remained a family-owned business. It prioritizes not just quality, but also nature and the environment.

Hocosa products are made only from the best possible GOTS-certified organic materials, produced without the use of chemicals or synthetics. By maintaining strict control over the entire sourcing and manufacturing process, they are able to ensure fair labor practices, safe working conditions throughout their supply chain, and the quality of raw materials. Hocosa’s fine merino virgin wool come from sheep raised in Argentina and Uruguay, where they are kept in their natural environment, are shorn by hand (no mulesing) and are raised free from pesticides. The wool is then processed by weavers in Germany or Austria. Hocosa uses only dyes free of heavy metals (like AZO) and formaldehyde.
