At Bigelow Lane, we’ve always believed in choosing fewer, better things. Every so often, that philosophy takes us beyond curating other makers’ work and into designing a few pieces of our own. We approach these collections with the same standards that guide everything we carry: thoughtful materials, enduring design, and the kind of quality that earns a place in your wardrobe for years to come.
Sweaters:
Rooted in timeless knitting traditions, our sweaters bring a fresh, playful spirit to classic designs. Knit from a beautiful and vibrant blend of 60% alpaca and 40% merino wool, with heathered yarn that lends subtle color variation and plenty of character, our sweaters are chunky, but not too chunky, making them warm, comfortable and cozy on chillier days. A clean and classic silhouette ensures they can easily be worn with just about everything.
Handmade in Peru out of mulesing-free wool and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified materials, our sweaters are tested for harmful substances and produced in an OEKO-TEX® STeP certified facility that meets rigorous environmental and social standards.
Linen:
Our line of timeless linen clothing was designed in house and is exclusive to Bigelow Lane.
Linen is a wonderfully low impact material. It is made from the flax plant, which is grown without pesticides and with 50% less water than widely used cotton.
We work with a small family-run manufacturer in Lithuania that uses 100% European grown flax while prioritizing fair wages, respectful working conditions, and zero waste practices in their factories.
