Jackalo was founded by mother, maker, and longtime environmentalist Marianna Sachse, who set out to solve a common problem in her own home: kids’ clothes that simply didn’t last long enough to be passed down. Determined to bring back the durability and practicality of “old-fashioned” children’s clothing, she created Jackalo with a clear mission: make tough, comfortable clothes for active kids while staying true to strong environmental and ethical values.

The brand focuses on creating durable kids' clothing made of organic cotton and other natural, recycled or reclaimed fabrics. Their production partners in India and Portugal are chosen for ethical labor practices and environmental standards, including living wages. To minimize waste, Jackalo reuses all of its textile offcuts and offsets their carbon impact by investing in projects that reduce, displace or remove carbon emissions. Jackalo also prioritizes fabric safety, avoiding PFAS, formaldehyde, phthalates, and AZO dyes, and limiting chemical treatments so garments remain gentle for kids’ skin.

We offer free shipping for U.S. orders over $150. For orders under $150, we offer $8 flat rate shipping.

If you wish to return your product, we will issue a full refund (minus a $10 flat rate return fee) if the product is in original unworn condition with all tags AND mailed back to us within 30 days of receipt. Any returns that aren’t mailed within the 30 day return window will receive store credit only.
